Surah Al-Muminun - Ayahs_76-90

23) সূরা আল মু'মিনূন (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ), আয়াত সংখ্যা 118

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ

(76

আমি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দ্বারা পাকড়াও করেছিলাম, কিন্তু তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার সামনে নত হল না এবং কাকুতি-মিনুতিও করল না।

And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him.

حَتَّى إِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ إِذَا هُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ

(77

অবশেষে যখন আমি তাদের জন্য কঠিন শাস্তির দ্বার খুলে দেব, তখন তাতে তাদের আশা ভঙ্গ হবে।

Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! They will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair.

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ

(78

তিনি তোমাদের কান, চোখ ও অন্তঃকরণ সৃষ্টি করেছেন; তোমরা খুবই অল্প কৃতজ্ঞতা স্বীকার করে থাক।

It is He, Who has created for you (the sense of) hearing (ears), sight (eyes), and hearts (understanding). Little thanks you give.

وَهُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ

(79

তিনিই তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে ছড়িয়ে রেখেছেন এবং তারই দিকে তোমাদেরকে সমবেত করা হবে।

And it is He Who has created you on the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered back.

وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ اخْتِلَافُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

(80

তিনিই প্রাণ দান করেন এবং মৃত্যু ঘটান এবং দিবা-রাত্রির বিবর্তন তাঁরই কাজ, তবু ও কি তোমরা বুঝবে না?

And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand?

بَلْ قَالُوا مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ الْأَوَّلُونَ

(81

বরং তারা বলে যেমন তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরা বলত।

Nay, but they say the like of what the men of old said.

قَالُوا أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

(82

তারা বলেঃ যখন আমরা মরে যাব এবং মৃত্তিকা ও অস্থিতে পরিণত হব, তখনও কি আমরা পুনরুত্থিত হব ?

They said: "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed?

لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا هَذَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ

(83

অতীতে আমাদেরকে এবং আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে এই ওয়াদাই দেয়া হয়েছে। এটা তো পূর্ববতীদের কল্প-কথা বৈ কিছুই নয়।

"Verily, this we have been promised, we and our fathers before (us)! This is only the tales of the ancients!"

قُل لِّمَنِ الْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهَا إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

(84

বলুন পৃথিবী এবং পৃথিবীতে যারা আছে, তারা কার? যদি তোমরা জান, তবে বল।

Say: "Whose is the earth and whosoever is therein? If you know!"

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

(85

এখন তারা বলবেঃ সবই আল্লাহর। বলুন, তবুও কি তোমরা চিন্তা কর না?

They will say: "It is Allah's!" Say: "Will you not then remember?"

قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

(86

বলুনঃ সপ্তাকাশ ও মহা-আরশের মালিক কে?

Say: "Who is (the) Lord of the seven heavens, and (the) Lord of the Great Throne?"

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

(87

এখন তারা বলবেঃ আল্লাহ। বলুন, তবুও কি তোমরা ভয় করবে না?

They will say: "Allah." Say: "Will you not then fear Allah (believe in His Oneness, obey Him, believe in the Resurrection and Recompense for each and every good or bad deed)."

قُلْ مَن بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ يُجِيرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

(88

বলুনঃ তোমাদের জানা থাকলে বল, কার হাতে সব বস্তুর কতৃর্êত্ব, যিনি রক্ষা করেন এবং যার কবল থেকে কেউ রক্ষা করতে পারে না ?

Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145]

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ قُلْ فَأَنَّى تُسْحَرُونَ

(89

এখন তারা বলবেঃ আল্লাহর। বলুনঃ তাহলে কোথা থেকে তোমাদেরকে জাদু করা হচ্ছে?

They will say: "(All that belongs) to Allah." Say: "How then are you deceived and turn away from the truth?"

بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ

(90

কিছুই নয়, আমি তাদের কাছে সত্য পৌঁছিয়েছি, আর তারা তো মিথ্যাবাদী।

Nay, but We have brought them the truth (Islamic Monotheism), and verily, they (disbelievers) are liars.
