2) সূরা আল বাক্বারাহ (মদীনায় অবতীর্ণ), আয়াত সংখ্যা 286
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوسَى لَن نَّصْبِرَ عَلَىَ طَعَامٍ وَاحِدٍ فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنبِتُ الأَرْضُ مِن بَقْلِهَا وَقِثَّآئِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُونَ الَّذِي هُوَ أَدْنَى بِالَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ اهْبِطُواْ مِصْراً فَإِنَّ لَكُم مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالْمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَآؤُوْاْ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَواْ وَّكَانُواْ يَعْتَدُونَ

আর তোমরা যখন বললে, হে মূসা, আমরা একই ধরনের খাদ্য-দ্রব্যে কখনও ধৈর্য্যধারণ করব না। কাজেই তুমি তোমার পালনকর্তার নিকট আমাদের পক্ষে প্রার্থনা কর, তিনি যেন আমাদের জন্যে এমন বস্তুসামগ্রী দান করেন যা জমিতে উৎপন্ন হয়, তরকারী, কাকড়ী, গম, মসুরি, পেঁয়াজ প্রভৃতি। মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তোমরা কি এমন বস্তু নিতে চাও যা নিকৃষ্ট সে বস্তুর পরিবর্তে যা উত্তম? তোমরা কোন নগরীতে উপনীত হও, তাহলেই পাবে যা তোমরা কামনা করছ। আর তাদের উপর আরোপ করা হল লাঞ্ছনা ও পরমুখাপেক্ষিতা। তারা আল্লাহর রোষানলে পতিত হয়ে ঘুরতে থাকল। এমন হলো এ জন্য যে, তারা আল্লাহর বিধি বিধান মানতো না এবং নবীগনকে অন্যায়ভাবে হত্যা করত। তার কারণ, তারা ছিল নাফরমান সীমালংঘকারী।
And (remember) when you said, "O Musa (Moses)! We cannot endure one kind of food. So invoke your Lord for us to bring forth for us of what the earth grows, its herbs, its cucumbers, its Fum (wheat or garlic), its lentils and its onions." He said, "Would you exchange that which is better for that which is lower? Go you down to any town and you shall find what you want!" And they were covered with humiliation and misery, and they drew on themselves the Wrath of Allah. That was because they used to disbelieve the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah and killed the Prophets wrongfully. That was because they disobeyed and used to transgress the bounds (in their disobedience to Allah, i.e. commit crimes and sins)..
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَالَّذِينَ هَادُواْ وَالنَّصَارَى وَالصَّابِئِينَ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحاً فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
(62
নিঃসন্দেহে যারা মুসলমান হয়েছে এবং যারা ইহুদী, নাসারা ও সাবেঈন, (তাদের মধ্য থেকে) যারা ঈমান এনেছে আল্লাহর প্রতি ও কিয়ামত দিবসের প্রতি এবং সৎকাজ করেছে, তাদের জন্য রয়েছে তার সওয়াব তাদের পালনকর্তার কাছে। আর তাদের কোনই ভয়-ভীতি নেই, তারা দুঃখিতও হবে না।
Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve ..
وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَكُمْ وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَكُمُ الطُّورَ خُذُواْ مَا آتَيْنَاكُم بِقُوَّةٍ وَاذْكُرُواْ مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
(63
আর আমি যখন তোমাদের কাছ থেকে অঙ্গীকার নিয়েছিলাম এবং তুর পর্বতকে তোমাদের মাথার উপর তুলে ধরেছিলাম এই বলে যে, তোমাদিগকে যে কিতাব দেয়া হয়েছে তাকে ধর সুদৃঢ়ভাবে এবং এতে যা কিছু রয়েছে তা মনে রেখো যাতে তোমরা ভয় কর।
And (O Children of Israel, remember) when We took your covenant and We raised above you the Mount (saying): "Hold fast to that which We have given you, and remember that which is therein so that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2)..
ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيْتُم مِّن بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ فَلَوْلاَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ لَكُنتُم مِّنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
(64
তারপরেও তোমরা তা থেকে ফিরে গেছ। কাজেই আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ ও মেহেরবানী যদি তোমাদের উপর না থাকত, তবে অবশ্যই তোমরা ধবংস হয়ে যেতে।
Then after that you turned away. Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah upon you, indeed you would have been among the losers..
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ الَّذِينَ اعْتَدَواْ مِنكُمْ فِي السَّبْتِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُواْ قِرَدَةً خَاسِئِينَ
(65
তোমরা তাদেরকে ভালরূপে জেনেছ, যারা শনিবারের ব্যাপারে সীমা লঙ্ঘণ করেছিল। আমি বলেছিলামঃ তোমরা লাঞ্ছিত বানর হয়ে যাও।
And indeed you knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath (i.e. Saturday). We said to them: "Be you monkeys, despised and rejected.".
فَجَعَلْنَاهَا نَكَالاً لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا وَمَا خَلْفَهَا وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
(66
অতঃপর আমি এ ঘটনাকে তাদের সমসাময়িক ও পরবর্তীদের জন্য দৃষ্টান্ত এবং আল্লাহভীরুদের জন্য উপদেশ গ্রহণের উপাদান করে দিয়েছি।
So We made this punishment an example to their own and to succeeding generations and a lesson to those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2)..
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَذْبَحُواْ بَقَرَةً قَالُواْ أَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُواً قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِاللّهِ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ
(67
যখন মূসা (আঃ) স্বীয় সম্প্রদায়কে বললেনঃ আল্লাহ তোমাদের একটি গরু জবাই করতে বলেছেন। তারা বলল, তুমি কি আমাদের সাথে উপহাস করছ? মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, মূর্খদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হওয়া থেকে আমি আল্লাহর আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করছি।
And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: "Verily, Allah commands you that you slaughter a cow." They said, "Do you make fun of us?" He said, "I take Allah's Refuge from being among Al-Jahilun (the ignorants or the foolish).".
قَالُواْ ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لّنَا مَا هِيَ قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لاَّ فَارِضٌ وَلاَ بِكْرٌ عَوَانٌ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ فَافْعَلُواْ مَا تُؤْمَرونَ
(68
তারা বলল, তুমি তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছে আমাদের জন্য প্রার্থনা কর, যেন সেটির রূপ বিশ্লেষণ করা হয়। মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তিনি বলছেন, সেটা হবে একটা গাভী, যা বৃদ্ধ নয় এবং কুমারীও নয়-বার্ধক্য ও যৌবনের মাঝামাঝি বয়সের। এখন আদিষ্ট কাজ করে ফেল।
They said, "Call upon your Lord for us that He may make plain to us what it is!" He said, "He says, 'Verily, it is a cow neither too old nor too young, but (it is) between the two conditions', so do what you are commanded.".
قَالُواْ ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَّنَا مَا لَوْنُهَا قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنّهَا بَقَرَةٌ صَفْرَاء فَاقِـعٌ لَّوْنُهَا تَسُرُّ النَّاظِرِينَ
(69
তারা বলল, তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছে আমাদের জন্য প্রার্থনা কর যে, তার রঙ কিরূপ হবে? মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তিনি বলেছেন যে, গাঢ় পীতবর্ণের গাভী-যা দর্শকদের চমৎকৃত করবে।
They said, "Call upon your Lord for us to make plain to us its colour." He said, "He says, 'It is a yellow cow, bright in its colour, pleasing to the beholders.' ".
قَالُواْ ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَّنَا مَا هِيَ إِنَّ البَقَرَ تَشَابَهَ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنَّآ إِن شَاء اللَّهُ لَمُهْتَدُونَ
(70
তারা বলল, আপনি প্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করুন-তিনি বলে দিন যে, সেটা কিরূপ? কেননা, গরু আমাদের কাছে সাদৃশ্যশীল মনে হয়। ইনশাআল্লাহ এবার আমরা অবশ্যই পথপ্রাপ্ত হব। মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তিনি বলেন যে, এ গাভী ভূকর্ষণ ও জল সেচনের শ্রমে অভ্যস্ত নয়-হবে নিষ্কলঙ্ক, নিখুঁত।
They said, "Call upon your Lord for us to make plain to us what it is. Verily to us all cows are alike, And surely, if Allah wills, we will be guided.".
قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لاَّ ذَلُولٌ تُثِيرُ الأَرْضَ وَلاَ تَسْقِي الْحَرْثَ مُسَلَّمَةٌ لاَّ شِيَةَ فِيهَا قَالُواْ الآنَ جِئْتَ بِالْحَقِّ فَذَبَحُوهَا وَمَا كَادُواْ يَفْعَلُونَ
(71
তারা বলল, এবার সঠিক তথ্য এনেছ। অতঃপর তারা সেটা জবাই করল, অথচ জবাই করবে বলে মনে হচ্ছিল না।
He [Musa (Moses)] said, "He says, 'It is a cow neither trained to till the soil nor water the fields, sound, having no other colour except bright yellow.' " They said, "Now you have brought the truth." So they slaughtered it though they were near to not doing it..
وَإِذْ قَتَلْتُمْ نَفْساً فَادَّارَأْتُمْ فِيهَا وَاللّهُ مُخْرِجٌ مَّا كُنتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ
(72
যখন তোমরা একজনকে হত্যা করে পরে সে সম্পর্কে একে অপরকে অভিযুক্ত করেছিলে। যা তোমরা গোপন করছিলে, তা প্রকাশ করে দেয়া ছিল আল্লাহর অভিপ্রায়।
And (remember) when you killed a man and fell into dispute among yourselves as to the crime. But Allah brought forth that which you were hiding..
فَقُلْنَا اضْرِبُوهُ بِبَعْضِهَا كَذَلِكَ يُحْيِي اللّهُ الْمَوْتَى وَيُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
(73
অতঃপর আমি বললামঃ গরুর একটি খন্ড দ্বারা মৃতকে আঘাত কর। এভাবে আল্লাহ মৃতকে জীবিত করেন এবং তোমাদেরকে তাঁর নিদর্শণ সমূহ প্রদর্শন করেন-যাতে তোমরা চিন্তা কর।
So We said: "Strike him (the dead man) with a piece of it (the cow)." Thus Allah brings the dead to life and shows you His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) so that you may understand..
ثُمَّ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُكُم مِّن بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ فَهِيَ كَالْحِجَارَةِ أَوْ أَشَدُّ قَسْوَةً وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْحِجَارَةِ لَمَا يَتَفَجَّرُ مِنْهُ الأَنْهَارُ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَشَّقَّقُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الْمَاء وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَهْبِطُ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللّهِ وَمَا اللّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
(74
অতঃপর এ ঘটনার পরে তোমাদের অন্তর কঠিন হয়ে গেছে। তা পাথরের মত অথবা তদপেক্ষাও কঠিন। পাথরের মধ্যে এমন ও আছে; যা থেকে ঝরণা প্রবাহিত হয়, এমনও আছে, যা বিদীর্ণ হয়, অতঃপর তা থেকে পানি নির্গত হয় এবং এমনও আছে, যা আল্লাহর ভয়ে খসেপড়তে থাকে! আল্লাহ তোমাদের কাজকর্ম সম্পর্কে বে-খবর নন।
Then, after that, your hearts were hardened and became as stones or even worse in hardness. And indeed, there are stones out of which rivers gush forth, and indeed, there are of them (stones) which split asunder so that water flows from them, and indeed, there are of them (stones) which fall down for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unaware of what you do..
أَفَتَطْمَعُونَ أَن يُؤْمِنُواْ لَكُمْ وَقَدْ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ كَلاَمَ اللّهِ ثُمَّ يُحَرِّفُونَهُ مِن بَعْدِ مَا عَقَلُوهُ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
(75
হে মুসলমানগণ, তোমরা কি আশা কর যে, তারা তোমাদের কথায় ঈমান আনবে? তাদের মধ্যে একদল ছিল, যারা আল্লাহর বাণী শ্রবণ করত; অতঃপর বুঝে-শুনে তা পরিবর্তন করে দিত এবং তারা তা অবগত ছিল।
Do you (faithful believers) covet that they will believe in your religion inspite of the fact that a party of them (Jewish rabbis) used to hear the Word of Allah [the Taurat (Torah)], then they used to change it knowingly after they understood it?
