Surah Maryam - Ayahs_76-90

19) সূরা মারইয়াম (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ), আয়াত সংখ্যা 98

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

وَيَزِيدُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اهْتَدَوْا هُدًى وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ مَّرَدًّا

(76

যারা সৎপথে চলে আল্লাহ তাদের পথপ্রাপ্তি বৃদ্ধি করেন এবং স্থায়ী সৎকর্মসমূহ তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছে সওয়াবের দিক দিয়ে শ্রেষ্ঠ এবং প্রতিদান হিসেবেও শ্রেষ্ট।

And Allah increases in guidance those who walk aright [true believers in the Oneness of Allah who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden), and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. And the righteous good deeds that last, are better with your Lord, for reward and better for resort.

أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا

(77

আপনি কি তাকে লক্ষ্য করেছেন যে, আমার নিদর্শনাবলীতে বিশ্বাস করে না এবং বলেঃ আমাকে অর্থ-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি অবশ্যই দেয়া হবে।

Have you seen him who disbelieved in Our Ayat (this Qur'an and Muhammad SAW) and (yet) says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children [if I will be alive (again)],"

أَاطَّلَعَ الْغَيْبَ أَمِ اتَّخَذَ عِندَ الرَّحْمَنِ عَهْدًا

(78

সে কি অদৃশ্য বিষয় জেনে ফেলেছে, অথবা দয়াময় আল্লাহর নিকট থেকে কোন প্রতিশ্রুতি প্রাপ্ত হয়েছে?

Has he known the unseen or has he taken a covenant from the Most Beneficent (Allah)?

كَلَّا سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ مَدًّا

(79

না, এটা ঠিক নয়। সে যা বলে আমি তা লিখে রাখব এবং তার শাস্তি দীর্ঘায়িত করতে থাকব।

Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall increase his torment (in the Hell);

وَنَرِثُهُ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًا

(80

সে যা বলে, মৃত্যুর পর আমি তা নিয়ে নেব এবং সে আমার কাছে আসবে একাকী।

And We shall inherit from him (at his death) all that he talks of (i.e. wealth and children which We have bestowed upon him in this world), and he shall come to Us alone.

وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لِّيَكُونُوا لَهُمْ عِزًّا

(81

তারা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্যান্য ইলাহ গ্রহণ করেছে, যাতে তারা তাদের জন্যে সাহায্যকারী হয়।

And they have taken (for worship) aliha (gods) besides Allah, that they might give them honour, power and glory (and also protect them from Allah's Punishment etc.).

كَلَّا سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدًّا

(82

কখনই নয়, তারা তাদের এবাদত অস্বীকার করবে এবং তাদের বিপক্ষে চলে যাবে।

Nay, but they (the so-called gods) will deny their worship of them, and become opponents to them (on the Day of Resurrection).

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ أَزًّا

(83

আপনি কি লক্ষ্য করেননি যে, আমি কাফেরদের উপর শয়তানদেরকে ছেড়ে দিয়েছি। তারা তাদেরকে বিশেষভাবে (মন্দকর্মে) উৎসাহিত করে।

See you not that We have sent the Shayatin (devils) against the disbelievers to push them to do evil.

فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّا

(84

সুতরাং তাদের ব্যাপারে আপনি তাড়াহুড়া করবেন না। আমি তো তাদের গণনা পূর্ণ করছি মাত্র।

So make no haste against them; We only count out to them a (limited) number (of the days of the life of this world and delay their term so that they may increase in evil and sins).

يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ الْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ وَفْدًا

(85

সেদিন দয়াময়ের কাছে পরহেযগারদেরকে অতিথিরূপে সমবেত করব,

The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V.2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour).

وَنَسُوقُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًا

(86

এবং অপরাধীদেরকে পিপাসার্ত অবস্থায় জাহান্নামের দিকে হাঁকিয়ে নিয়ে যাব।

And We shall drive the Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, etc.) to Hell, in a thirsty state (like a thirsty herd driven down to water),

لَا يَمْلِكُونَ الشَّفَاعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ اتَّخَذَ عِندَ الرَّحْمَنِ عَهْدًا

(87

যে দয়াময় আল্লাহর কাছ থেকে প্রতিশ্রুতি গ্রহণ করেছে, সে ব্যতীত আর কেউ সুপারিশ করার অধিকারী হবে না।

None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from the Most Beneficent (Allah).

وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَنُ وَلَدًا

(88

তারা বলেঃ দয়াময় আল্লাহ সন্তান গ্রহণ করেছেন।

And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ) ], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]."

لَقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْئًا إِدًّا

(89

নিশ্চয় তোমরা তো এক অদ্ভুত কান্ড করেছ।

Indeed you have brought forth (said) a terrible evil thing.

تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنشَقُّ الْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًّا

(90

হয় তো এর কারণেই এখনই নভোমন্ডল ফেটে পড়বে, পৃথিবী খন্ড-বিখন্ড হবে এবং পর্বতমালা চূর্ণ-বিচুর্ণ হবে।

Whereby the heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder, and the mountains fall in ruins,
