Surah Saba - Ayahs_46-54

34) সূরা সাবা (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ), আয়াত সংখ্যা 54

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَعِظُكُم بِوَاحِدَةٍ أَن تَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ مَثْنَى وَفُرَادَى ثُمَّ تَتَفَكَّرُوا مَا بِصَاحِبِكُم مِّن جِنَّةٍ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ لَّكُم بَيْنَ يَدَيْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ

(46

বলুন, আমি তোমাদেরকে একটি বিষয়ে উপদেশ দিচ্ছিঃ তোমরা আল্লাহর নামে এক একজন করে ও দু, দু জন করে দাঁড়াও, অতঃপর চিন্তা-ভাবনা কর-তোমাদের সঙ্গীর মধ্যে কোন উম্মাদনা নেই। তিনি তো আসন্ন কাঠোর শাস্তি সম্পর্কে তোমাদেরকে সতর্ক করেন মাত্র।

Say (to them O Muhammad SAW): "I exhort you on one (thing) only: that you stand up for Allah's sake in pairs and singly, and reflect (within yourselves the life history of the Prophet SAW): there is no madness in your companion (Muhammad SAW), he is only a warner to you in face of a severe torment."

قُلْ مَا سَأَلْتُكُم مِّنْ أَجْرٍ فَهُوَ لَكُمْ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ

(47

বলুন, আমি তোমাদের কাছে কোন পারিশ্রমিক চাই না বরং তা তোমরাই রাখ। আমার পুরস্কার তো আল্লাহর কাছে রয়েছে। প্রত্যেক বস্তুই তাঁর সামনে।

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Whatever wage I might have asked of you is yours. My wage is from Allah only. and He is Witness over all things."

قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ

(48

বলুন, আমার পালনকর্তা সত্য দ্বীন অবতরণ করেছেন। তিনি আলেমুল গায়ব।

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Verily! My Lord sends down Inspiration and makes apparent the truth (i.e. this Revelation that had come to me), the All-Knower of the Ghaib (unseen).

قُلْ جَاء الْحَقُّ وَمَا يُبْدِئُ الْبَاطِلُ وَمَا يُعِيدُ

(49

বলুন, সত্য আগমন করেছে এবং অসত্য না পারে নতুন কিছু সৃজন করতে এবং না পারে পূনঃ প্রত্যাবর্তিত হতে।

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "The truth (the Qur'an and Allah's Inspiration) has come, and Al-Batil [falsehood - Iblis (Satan)] can neither create anything nor resurrect (anything)."

قُلْ إِن ضَلَلْتُ فَإِنَّمَا أَضِلُّ عَلَى نَفْسِي وَإِنِ اهْتَدَيْتُ فَبِمَا يُوحِي إِلَيَّ رَبِّي إِنَّهُ سَمِيعٌ قَرِيبٌ

(50

বলুন, আমি পথভ্রষ্ট হলে নিজের ক্ষতির জন্যেই পথভ্রষ্ট হব; আর যদি আমি সৎপথ প্রাপ্ত হই, তবে তা এ জন্যে যে, আমার পালনকর্তা আমার প্রতি ওহী প্রেরণ করেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি সর্বশ্রোতা, নিকটবর্তী।

Say: "If (even) I go astray, I shall stray only to my own loss. But if I remain guided, it is because of the Inspiration of my Lord to me. Truly, He is All-Hearer, Ever Near (to all things)."

وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ فَزِعُوا فَلَا فَوْتَ وَأُخِذُوا مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ

(51

যদি আপনি দেখতেন, যখন তারা ভীতসস্ত্রস্ত হয়ে পড়বে, অতঃপর পালিয়েও বাঁচতে পারবে না এবং নিকটবর্তী স্থান থেকে ধরা পড়বে।

And if you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a near place.

وَقَالُوا آمَنَّا بِهِ وَأَنَّى لَهُمُ التَّنَاوُشُ مِن مَكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ

(52

তারা বলবে, আমরা সত্যে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলাম। কিন্তু তারা এতদূর থেকে তার নাগাল পাবে কেমন করে?

 And they will say (in the Hereafter): "We do believe (now);" but how could they receive (Faith and the acceptance of their repentance by Allah) from a place so far off (i.e. to return to the worldly life again).

وَقَدْ كَفَرُوا بِهِ مِن قَبْلُ وَيَقْذِفُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ مِن مَّكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ

(53

অথচ তারা পূর্ব থেকে সত্যকে অস্বীকার করছিল। আর তারা সত্য হতে দূরে থেকে অজ্ঞাত বিষয়ের উপর মন্তব্য করত।

Indeed they did disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah, Islam, the Qur'an and Muhammad SAW) before (in this world), and they (used to) conjecture about the unseen [i.e. the Hereafter, Hell, Paradise, Resurrection and the Promise of Allah, etc. (by saying) all that is untrue], from a far place.

وَحِيلَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ مَا يَشْتَهُونَ كَمَا فُعِلَ بِأَشْيَاعِهِم مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا فِي شَكٍّ مُّرِيبٍ

(54

তাদের ও তাদের বাসনার মধ্যে অন্তরাল হয়ে গেছে, যেমন-তাদের সতীর্থদের সাথেও এরূপ করা হয়েছে, যারা তাদের পূর্বে ছিল। তারা ছিল বিভ্রান্তিকর সন্দেহে পতিত।

And a barrier will be set between them and that which they desire [i.e. At-Taubah (turning to Allah in repentance) and the accepting of Faith etc.], as was done in the past with the people of their kind. Verily, they have been in grave doubt.
