Surah As-Saffat - Ayahs_16-30

37) সূরা আস-সাফফাত (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ), আয়াত সংখ্যা 182

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

(16

আমরা যখন মরে যাব, এবং মাটি ও হাড়ে পরিণত হয়ে যাব, তখনও কি আমরা পুনরুত্থিত হব?

"When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected?

أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ

(17

আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষগণও কি?

"And also our fathers of old?"

قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ

(18

বলুন, হ্যাঁ এবং তোমরা হবে লাঞ্ছিত।

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated."

فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ

(19

বস্তুতঃ সে উত্থান হবে একটি বিকট শব্দ মাত্র-যখন তারা প্রত্যক্ষ করতে থাকবে।

It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring!

وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ

(20

এবং বলবে, দুর্ভাগ্য আমাদের! এটাই তো প্রতিফল দিবস।

They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!"

هَذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ الَّذِي كُنتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ

(21

বলা হবে, এটাই ফয়সালার দিন, যাকে তোমরা মিথ্যা বলতে।

(It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny."

احْشُرُوا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَأَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ

(22

একত্রিত কর গোনাহগারদেরকে, তাদের দোসরদেরকে এবং যাদের এবাদত তারা করত।

(It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship.

مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَاهْدُوهُمْ إِلَى صِرَاطِ الْجَحِيمِ

(23

আল্লাহ ব্যতীত। অতঃপর তাদেরকে পরিচালিত কর জাহান্নামের পথে,

"Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell);

وَقِفُوهُمْ إِنَّهُم مَّسْئُولُونَ

(24

এবং তাদেরকে থামাও, তারা জিজ্ঞাসিত হবে;

"But stop them, verily they are to be questioned.

مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ

(25

তোমাদের কি হল যে, তোমরা একে অপরের সাহায্য করছ না?

"What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?"

بَلْ هُمُ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ

(26

বরং তারা আজকের দিনে আত্নসমর্পণকারী।

Nay, but that Day they shall surrender,

وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءلُونَ

(27

তারা একে অপরের দিকে মুখ করে পরস্পরকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।

And they will turn to one another and question one another.

قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَمِينِ

(28

বলবে, তোমরা তো আমাদের কাছে ডান দিক থেকে আসতে।

They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]."

قَالُوا بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ

(29

তারা বলবে, বরং তোমরা তো বিশ্বাসীই ছিলে না।

They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers.

وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَانٍ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَاغِينَ

(30

এবং তোমাদের উপর আমাদের কোন কতৃত্ব ছিল না, বরং তোমরাই ছিলে সীমালংঘনকারী সম্প্রদায়।

"And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers).
